8th Annual FM 106.9 The Lodge Cherry Drop
When: December 31, Festivities begin at 10:30 PM; Fireworks at 8 PM
Where: Husby’s Food & Spirits and The Garage, Sister Bay
Sister Bay’s New Year’s Eve celebration is packed with fun for all ages! Start with a shopping spree in the village, lace up your skates for ice skating, or enjoy a cozy bonfire at the Sports Complex. Savor delicious dining specials throughout town and don’t miss the early evening fireworks display at 8 PM at the Sister Bay Ice Rink.
At 10:30 PM, head to Cherry ground zero at The Garage as The Lodge Cherry Drop takes center stage. Dance to the biggest party tunes of all time, broadcast live by FM 106.9 The Lodge, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. At midnight, witness the iconic sparkling cherry drop: a 300-pound, illuminated cherry descending over 150 feet to welcome 2025 with style!

First Day Hikes (FREE!)

Whitefish Dunes State Park (9:30 AM – 12 PM)
Meet for a guided hike through the stunning dunes and shoreline. Afterward, enjoy a bonfire and warm drinks to start the year cozy.Peninsula State Park (10 AM – 12 PM)
Join guided 30-minute hikes departing from the newly renovated White Cedar Nature Center. Participants will end their walk with hot drinks and a fire to warm up.Newport State Park (1 PM)
Meet at parking lot #3 for a 1.2-mile hike through serene woods and winter landscapes. After the hike, enjoy a bonfire and light refreshments to recharge.Crossroads at Big Creek (2 PM)
This one-hour hike leaves from the Collins Learning Center, perfect for those looking to explore trails with ease.
Jacksonport Polar Bear Swim (FREE!)
When: Registration at 10:30 AM; Swim at 12 PM
Where: Lakeside Park, Jacksonport
Plunge into the icy waters of Lake Michigan for a one-of-a-kind way to kick off 2025! Warm clothes and protective footwear are a must, and blankets will help you stay cozy afterward.
Polar Plunge (FREE!)
When: 12 PM
Where: Waterfront Mary’s Bar & Grill, Sturgeon Bay
Take the plunge and celebrate with food and drinks at Waterfront Mary’s. Spectators and participants are welcome!
New Year’s Day Parade
When: 1 PM
Where: Downtown Egg Harbor
